Dalton Joinery is a family-run bespoke joinery and carpentry company based at Seal Croft Farm in Seal, just outside Sevenoaks. Established in 1984 by Richard Dalton, we have been designing, manufacturing and installing purpose-made timber joinery for homeowners across Kent and London for over four decades.
Every piece of work we deliver — from a single replacement sash window to a complete fitted kitchen — is designed, made and finished in our own modern, fully equipped workshop, and installed by the same team that built it. We do not subcontract.
What we make
We specialise in purpose-made joinery, offering tailored joinery and carpentry from start to finish. Our work includes bespoke timber windows (single and double glazed), wooden doors, timber staircases, custom balustrades, fitted kitchens, bedroom wardrobes and cabinetry, conservatories, wood panelling, skirting, bookcases, tables and chests — all made to your exact specification.
A significant proportion of our work is for period and listed properties where the right detailing matters and where standard retail products simply don't fit. We routinely make windows, doors and staircases that aren't available from retail outlets — which is, for many of our customers, exactly why they get in touch.
How we work
- Designed in-house — we'll talk through your project, take measurements and prepare a detailed quotation.
- Manufactured in-house — every piece is built in our workshop to our own standards, in the timber and finish you specify.
- Installed in-house — the joiners who made your piece are usually the ones who fit it, so the detailing is right.
- Coordinated end-to-end — for full kitchen and bedroom projects we coordinate plumbing, electrical and building works on your behalf.

From our base in Seal, Sevenoaks, we serve homeowners across Kent and London — Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Maidstone, Bromley, Orpington, Westerham, Otford, Borough Green and much of central London.
